Equestrian Facilities

Forest Edge Arena is a family owned and managed equestrian competition centre set in the heart of Breckland. The 77x35m. indoor arena is used for a wide variety of equestrian uses, including affiliated and unaffiliated show jumping, dressage, showing, Pony Club and driving activities. A varied programme of mounted and unmounted clinics, lectures and workshops for all ages and abilities, are planned for the coming year.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!! WE HAVE NOW CHANGED THE INDOOR SURFACE TO ANDREWS BOWEN PRO-WAX.  THIS SURFACE IS THE BEST AVAILABLE AND IS USED AT THE HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW, N IRELAND INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW, THE BRITISH OPEN SHOWJUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS AND MANY OTHER PRESTIGIOUS CENTRES.  The benefits of changing to this surface will be a consistant, secure, dust-free surface, supporting the horses natural movement and reducing repetative strain injury.  It will allow us to hold a greater variety and higher standard of competitions.

There is now a new 40x20m Pro-wax surfaced practice arena and new covered standing and spectator areas completed in addition to the indoor arena.

New for 2010, a 100x45m outside purpose-made watered grass arena with Derby Bank, Table & water jump.  This is now under construction and will be seeded at the end of September ready for the next Summer season.  There are also other fenced grass areas suitable for a variety of events and include a pit and banks which can be adapted according to your needs. 

We are pleased to offer stabling, electric hook-ups, indoor toilets & showers, to enable you to enjoy a break with us in this unspoilt and picturesque area, either in order to be ready for an event or just to have a peaceful holiday with your horse.  Forest Edge is set within its own 35 acres of beautiful Breckland countryside and borders Thetford Forest, which offers miles of off-road riding. 

The arenas are available for hire on an individual or events basis.  Forest Edge Arena is an ideal base for clubs and teams wishing access to a variety of facilities, which can be adapted to suit your particular activity.  BSJA Show jumps, working Hunter jumps, gymkhana and timing equipment can all be hired for use at Forest Edge.
